As a Pre Sales Consultant at SUE, you will be the technical conscience within the commercial process. You’ll work alongside our Sales Executives and Solution Architects to translate customer needs into concrete technical solutions. What you’ll be doing
As a Pre Sales Consultant, you support the sales team with technical knowledge during the sales cycle. You help potential clients understand our solutions solve their problems. You are not just selling; you are advising and designing the future infrastructure of our customers. You support and advise clients on the business challenges they are facing.
In this role, you will dive deep into SUE’s Solutions & Services portfolio. You will assist in preparing technical proposals, answering RFPs (Requests for Proposal), and delivering convincing demos. You will work with cutting-edge technologies including DevOps, Platform Engineering, Containerisation and Cloud solutions. You will become proficient in positioning partners such as AWS, Gitlab, Dynatrace, Wiz, Red Hat, and Cloudflare. Additionally, you will play a key role in demonstrating the value of our own turnkey SaaS solution, Multistax, and our software modernisation platform, Re:APP.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Supporting Sales Executives during customer meetings to answer technical questions.
- Preparing and giving demos of our solutions (e.g., Multistax or Cloudflare security features).
- Translating customer requirements into High-Level Designs and preliminary architectures.
- Create proposals and Statements of Work and work with our vendors to translate business requirements in solutions.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments from our vendors and the Cloud Native landscape.
- Educating our Sales-team with your technical knowledge and trends in the technology space.
Who you are
You are someone who loves technology but doesn’t want to spend all day writing code in isolation. You enjoy interacting with people and have a natural curiosity about how businesses operate. You are eager to learn and aren’t afraid to ask questions to our senior engineers to understand the nitty-gritty of a solution.
You take initiative and have a “can-do” attitude. When a customer has a complex technical challenge, you see a puzzle waiting to be solved. You are communicative, honest, and able to explain technical concepts to people who might be less tech-savvy than you are.
Skills & Knowledge
- Completed college or university education (HBO/WO), preferably in IT, Computer Science, or a Business/IT hybrid field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT
- Strong affinity with Cloud Native technologies (Public Cloud, Containers, Kubernetes).
- Basic understanding of Linux and infrastructure concepts is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with, or a strong desire to learn about, the SUE portfolio ecosystem (AWS, Red Hat, Gitlab, Dynatrace, Wiz, etc.).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; you are comfortable speaking in front of a group.
- Ability to translate technical features into business benefits.
- Proactive attitude and a drive to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Ability to break down and explain complex technical topics (non) technical people
- A team player who can easily switch between talking to Sales colleagues and hardcore Engineers.
